The Exeter Award will help you stand out from the crowd and give you the confidence to shout about the experiences you've had at university
The Exeter Award is an extra and co-curricular employability achievement award for current undergraduate and taught postgraduate students. It is for both Exeter and Penryn students and is delivered in partnership with the Students' Guild in Exeter and the Students' Union in Penryn.
Completing the Award will help you make the most of your professional experience. You'll receive training in valuable professional skills, develop vital workplace experience and learn how to optimise your CVs and application forms.
Students who complete the Exeter Award are more likely to be in a graduate level job six months after graduating (Destination of Leavers of Higher Education data).
The Exeter Award is designed to:
- enhance your employability and boost your CV;
- give you recognition from the University of Exeter for the activities you are participating in as part of your studies and outside of your studies;
- develop a range of skills to take forward into graduate jobs market;
- demonstrate to employers the skills and attributes that Exeter graduates have.

The Exeter Leaders Award
Completing The Exeter Award is a pre-requisite for registering for the Exeter Leaders Award. However, there is nothing to stop you attending Leaders Award activities in readiness – they will then show as completed in your Leaders Award profile when you register.
